Why teams choose Cardog

  • Canadian VINs to trim, on every plan. We decode 99.77% of Canadian VINs to trim level, including on the Free plan. See Decode a Canadian VIN.
  • Prices you can read before you call. Cardog publishes its plans and credit costs. DataOne prices by custom quote (FAQ). See Pricing.
  • Units on every number. A spec sheet states every number with its unit and keeps Canadian and US prices apart, in CAD and USD. See Units.
  • Transport Canada recalls on the same key. GET /v2/vin/{vin}/recalls lists Transport Canada and NHTSA campaigns, each tagged tc or nhtsa. See Recalls.
  • Listings and market quotes. Canadian listing search and model-year quotes, keyed to the same refs as the decode.
  • Built for developers and agents. SDKs in TypeScript and Python, a remote MCP server, and a dated version header.

When to use Cardog

Use Cardog when your VINs are Canadian, when you want to start on a self-serve key today, or when the decode feeds Canadian specs, recalls, listings or market quotes. Read the docs to start.
