A request is priced by what it answers, not by how many bytes it moves. Most are priced per request. VIN decodes, recall checks and window stickers are priced per VIN. Some calls are free on every plan: sticker check, PDF download, feedback, session and thread history.
Make, model, year, trim and build from one VIN. A batch is billed per VIN in it.

Credit packs are spent first, if you have any. After that, it depends on the plan. Overage is never a surprise: every metered response carries the credits left in its headers.
The same on every plan:
Window sticker, sticker check, window sticker, PDF download, feedback, agent, session, agent and thread history cost nothing, on every plan, including after a free plan has hit its allowance. Feedback is rate limited per key.
A window sticker read costs 5 credits only when a sticker is found. An answer of unavailable costs nothing, so check first or read straight away: you never pay for a miss.
Feed deliveries are free too. They come with a feed contract and an organization key, so they are not on the rate table.
A batch is priced per VIN. Each VIN decoded costs 2 credits, the same as decoding it on its own.
The monthly allowance does not. It covers one calendar month and resets at the start of the next. Credits from a pack are separate. They stay on the account for 12 months from the day you buy them.
Pack credits can be spent for 12 months after purchase. Credits still unspent at that point expire and leave your balance. Packs are spent oldest first, so the credits closest to expiry are always used before newer ones.
Yes. Credit packs and custom top-ups are available on every plan, including Free.
Yes, on Starter, Pro and Business. Annual billing saves 25% on the plan price against paying monthly. Overage is billed at the same rate either way.
