Cardog is a free research and shopping site for Canadian cars, built around the VIN.

  • Any ad, checked by VIN. Ask the seller for the VIN and paste it into cardog.app/vin. Cardog decodes 99.77% of Canadian VINs to trim level, so you can confirm the year, make, model and trim match the ad.
  • The check digit. For a North American VIN, a mistyped or invented VIN whose check digit does not compute is flagged, and the page shows nothing for it.

AutoTrader.ca lists new, used and certified pre-owned cars, lets private sellers list with "Free to list," and offers selling to a dealership with "Get multiple offers" (AutoTrader.ca).
