Summary

Issue: On certain trucks, the side curtain airbag inflators may be defective. As a result, the driver and/or passenger side curtain airbag inflator(s) could rupture unexpectedly and metal fragments could be propelled toward vehicle occupants. Note: This is an expansion of Transport Canada recall 2025-013. Safety Risk: An airbag inflator that ruptures can create a risk of injury. Corrective Actions: FCA Canada will notify owners in writing and advise you to take your truck to a dealership to replace the affected side curtain airbag(s).

Summary

Summary

Issue: On certain vehicles, the tire and loading information label does not list that there is no spare tire in both official languages. The label reads as "NONE" when it should read as "NONE / AUCUN". Canadian regulations require the information to be listed on the label in both English and French. Safety Risk: This error does not affect vehicle safety. Corrective Actions: This is not a recall. The company has corrected the tire and loading information label for all new vehicles.

Summary

Issue: On certain trucks, the tailgate could unlatch and open while driving. If this happens, cargo that is not secured could fall out of the truck bed and onto the road. Safety Risk: Cargo that falls from the truck bed could create a road hazard for others. Corrective Actions: FCA Canada will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your truck to a dealership to inspect the alignment of the tailgate strikers, and adjust them if necessary.

Issue: On certain vehicles, the warning lamp for the electronic stability control (ESC) system may not turn on when there is a problem with the ESC system. Safety Risk: A driver that is not aware of a problem with the ESC system could have an increased risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: FCA Canada will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to update the antilock brake system (ABS) control module software.

Issue: On certain trucks, the nuts that attach the windshield wiper arms may not have been tightened properly. This could cause the wipers to slip and not clear the windshield properly. Safety Risk: Windshield wipers that do not work properly could affect a driver's visibility. This could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: FCA Canada will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to tighten the nuts on the windshield wiper arms.

Issue: On certain vehicles equipped with a 6.7 L Cummins diesel engine, the high-pressure fuel pump could fail. If this happens, you may notice a change in engine performance, a fuel leak, or the check engine light may turn on. This could also result in a sudden loss of engine power while driving. Safety Risk: A sudden loss of engine power could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: FCA Canada will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealership to replace the high-pressure fuel pump and update the powertrain control module software. Additional fuel system parts may be replaced, if necessary.

Issue: On certain vehicles, there could be a problem with the front seat belt retractors. As a result, the seat belts may not work as designed in a crash. Summary

Issue: On certain trucks, the bracket for the bed step could break if too much side-load is applied to it. If this happens, the step could fail when it is used. Safety Risk: A bed step that breaks could create a risk of injury. Corrective Actions: FCA Canada will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your truck to a dealer to replace the bed step support brace. New trucks that have not been sold will have the bed step removed and re-installed once the replacement parts are available.

Issue: On certain vehicles, the rearview camera image may be displayed even after the transmission is shifted out of reverse. This could cause a possible distraction for the driver. Canadian regulations require the rearview image to turn off within 10 seconds after shifting from reverse gear. Safety Risk: A driver that is distracted could have an increased risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: FCA Canada will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to update the radio software.
