Issue: On certain trucks, the repairs completed by a General Motors dealer during recall N192220470 (Transport Canada recall no. 2019-325) or customer satisfaction program no. N192270330 may not have been completed properly. As a result, a second repair is required. Additionally, certain trucks may not have had the updated parts installed during production. On certain trucks equipped with a power sliding rear window, the rear defroster wiring could overheat and melt. Safety Risk: Wiring that overheats and melts can create the risk of a fire. Corrective Actions: General Motors will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your truck to a dealership to replace the contact cover for the sliding rear window. The dealer will also update the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) software, if necessary. If the rear window or sliding glass assembly are damaged, they will be replaced.

A wheel-speed sensor failure will cause the electronic stability control (ESC) and anti-lock braking system (ABS) warning lights to turn on, and a "Service StabiliTrak" message to display. Safety Risk: A vehicle that suddenly pulls to one side could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: General Motors will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to update the electronic-brake control module software. General Motors advises that using two-wheel-drive mode can eliminate the risk until the recall repair is completed.

On certain HD model trucks equipped with an Allison A1000 Transmission, the dash display may not indicate the selected gear if the transmission shift lever is in the "1" position. On certain Crew Cab vehicles, welds on the passenger airbag inflator may fracture during airbag deployment, allowing some of the gases to vent behind the instrument panel instead of into the airbag. If this occurs, the airbag may not fully inflate. Failure of the passenger airbag to fully deploy during a crash (where deployment is warranted) could increase the risk of personal injury to the seat occupant. Correction: Dealers will replace the passenger frontal airbag assembly.
