Issue: On certain vehicles, the tire and loading information label does not list that there is no spare tire in both official languages. The label reads as "NONE" when it should read as "NONE / AUCUN". Canadian regulations require the information to be listed on the label in both English and French. Safety Risk: This error does not affect vehicle safety. Corrective Actions: This is not a recall. The company has corrected the tire and loading information label for all new vehicles.
Issue: On certain vehicles, the left-rear seat back striker may not have been aligned correctly. As a result, the seat back may not lock in the upright position and unrestrained cargo could move in a crash. Safety Risk: A seat back that moves in a crash could create an increased risk of injury. Additionally, cargo that moves in a crash could create a risk of injury. Corrective Actions: FCA Canada will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealer to inspect and, if necessary, adjust the left-rear seat back striker.
Issue: On certain vehicles, the parking brake may not have been adjusted correctly. As a result, the vehicle could roll when the parking brake is set. Safety Risk: A parked vehicle that moves suddenly could increase the risk of an injury or a crash. Corrective Actions: FCA Canada will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to properly adjust the parking brake.
Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2023 Dodge Charger vehicles. The left rear seat back may not lock in the upright position. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 207, "Seating Systems."
A seat back that is not locked into position can increase the risk of injury in a crash.
Dealers will inspect and adjust the seat back latch striker as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed August 15, 2024. Owners may contact FCA US, LLC customer service at 1-800-853-1403. FCA US LLC's number for this recall is 37B.
