Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2017 GT vehicles previously repaired incorrectly under recall 18V707. The rear wing valve block may leak hydraulic fluid.
A hydraulic fluid leak in the presence of an ignition source can increase the risk of a fire.
Dealers will update the dynamics control module software and replace the rear wing check valve as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed August 8, 2025. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. Ford's number for this recall is 25S74.
Issue: On a small number of vehicles, the recall repairs completed by a Ford dealer during recall 18S29 (Transport Canada recall no. 2018-555) may not have been done correctly. As a result, a second repair is required. On a small number of vehicles, the rear wing control system could leak hydraulic fluid onto the exhaust. Safety Risk: A hydraulic fluid leak onto the exhaust system could create a fire risk. Corrective Actions: Ford will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to update the vehicle dynamics control module software.

Ford will notify owners, and dealers will perform a software update to the fully integrated vehicle controller. Some vehicles will have a rear wing hydraulic check valve installed and will have the o-rings and the filter replaced, if needed. The repairs will be performed free of charge. The recall began November 30, 2018. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. Ford's number for this recall is 18S29.
On certain vehicles, hydraulic fluid could leak from the rear wing control system and onto the exhaust. A hydraulic fluid leak onto a hot exhaust surface could increase the risk of a fire, causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will update the Vehicle Dynamics Control Module with new software which would eliminate the possibility of excessive pressure in the rear wing valve block assembly. Vehicles that were not built with a hydraulic check valve and filter will be fitted with the hardware, along with hydraulic pump O-rings, if needed.
