Issue: On certain vehicles, the infotainment main unit in the center console could fail. If this happens, the display screen will not turn on when you start the vehicle and the rearview camera image will not appear when backing up. Canadian regulations require the rearview image to display when the transmission is shifted into reverse. Safety Risk: A rearview camera image that does not display could reduce a driver's ability to see behind the vehicle while backing up. This could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Audi will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealership to replace the infotainment unit.
Summary
Issue: On certain vehicles, the vent pipe inside the fuel tank may be damaged. As a result, gasoline could spill out of the filler neck when you remove the fuel cap. Safety Risk: A fuel spill could create the risk of injury or a fire. Corrective Actions: Audi will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealership to inspect the fuel tank vent pipe. If fuel spills out of the filler neck when the tank is pressurized, the dealer will replace the fuel tank and charcoal canister.
Summary
Issue: On certain vehicles, the rim size marking on the wheels may be unreadable. Canadian regulations require wheels to be clearly marked with the rim size. Safety Risk: This small error does not affect safety. The rim size information can be found on the compliance label. Corrective Actions: This is not a recall. Audi has made changes to ensure that all new wheels are marked correctly.
