Summary
Issue: On certain vehicles, a software problem could cause the rearview camera image not to appear on the display. Canadian regulations require the rearview image to display when the transmission is shifted into reverse gear. Safety Risk: A rearview camera image that doesn't display could reduce a driver's ability to see behind the vehicle while backing up. This could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Audi will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to update the rearview camera software.
Summary
Issue: On certain vehicles, the rear outboard seat belts may contain defective automatic locking retractors (ALR). As a result, the seat belts may not work properly to secure a child seat. Note: The vehicle's lower universal anchorage system (UAS) is not affected by this defect and may still be used to secure a child seat. Safety Risk: A seat belt that is used to secure a child restraint but isn't properly locked could increase the risk of injury in a crash. Corrective Actions: Audi will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, replace the rear outboard seat belt(s).
Summary
Issue: On certain vehicles, the front seat belt buckles may not have been manufactured properly. As a result, the seat belts could loosen or detach in a crash. Safety Risk: A seat belt that detaches in a crash could create an increased risk of injury. Corrective Actions: Audi will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to replace the front seat belt buckles.
Summary
Issue: On certain vehicles, the recall repairs completed by an Audi dealer during recall 82C7 (Transport Canada recall no. 2023-314) may not be effective. As a result, a second repair may be required. On certain vehicles, the high-voltage electric heater could fail. If this happens, you may experience reduced cabin heat, and the windshield defrost system may not work properly. Note: This recall replaces Transport Canada recall no. 2023-314. Safety Risk: A windshield defroster that doesn't work may cause reduced visibility and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Audi will notify owners by mail. As an interim repair, if your high-voltage electric heater fails before the final repair is available, Audi will replace it with a new part of the same design, free of charge. When the final repairs are available, Audi will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to replace the passenger compartment high-voltage electric heater with an improved part.
Summary
Issue: On certain vehicles, the front seat belt(s) may have been damaged during production. As a result, the seat belt(s) may not hold a person in place during a crash. Note: For the Q4 E-Tron model, this recall affects both Sportback and SUV models. Safety Risk: A seat belt that doesn't work properly could increase the risk of injury in a crash. Corrective Actions: The company will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to replace the front seat belt(s), as necessary.
Summary
Issue: On certain vehicles, the high-voltage battery could overheat. As a result, the battery could create smoke or heat, which can melt or damage the battery and nearby parts. Note: This recall only affects plug-in hybrid (PHEV) models. This recall replaces Transport Canada recall no. 2025-064. Vehicles that were repaired under that recall don't require this repair. Safety Risk: A battery that overheats can create a fire risk. Corrective Actions: To reduce the safety risk, Audi advises not to charge your vehicle until the recall repairs have been completed. Audi will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to install an advanced diagnostic software that will monitor the high-voltage battery and warn you if it detects a problem. If you see this warning, you should contact a dealership to arrange replacement of the affected high-voltage battery module.
Summary
Issue: On certain vehicles, the screws for the cylinder head cover could loosen and cause an oil leak. Safety Risk: Oil that leaks onto hot components can create the risk of a fire. Corrective Actions: Audi will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, replace and tighten the cylinder head cover screws.
Summary
Issue: On certain vehicles, the passenger occupant detection system (PODS) may malfunction. This could cause the airbag system to turn off the passenger-front airbag even when a passenger is seated. Note: This problem would cause an error message to display on the instrument panel and a warning chime to sound. The airbag indicator light would also display "passenger airbag off". Safety Risk: An airbag that is turned off could increase the risk of injury to a passenger in a crash. Corrective Actions: Audi will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to replace the passenger-front seat cushion. Audi advises that you shouldn't use the front passenger seat if a PODS error message displays on the instrument panel or if the airbag indicator light displays "passenger airbag off" with an occupant in the seat.
