Ford will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to replace the block heater.
Issue: On certain vehicles, the side curtain airbag(s) could contact the B-pillar reinforcement flange and cause them not to inflate properly in a crash. Corrective Actions: Ford will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to install a protective shield for the side curtain airbags.
Issue: On certain vehicles, a software problem could cause the rearview camera image not to display or to freeze when the transmission is shifted into reverse. Safety Risk: A rearview camera image that doesn't display correctly could reduce a driver's ability to see behind the vehicle while backing up. This could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Ford will notify owners by mail and send a wireless over-the-air software update to eligible vehicles to update the SYNC software. Alternatively, you may schedule an appointment to have the update performed at a Ford dealership.
Issue: On certain vehicles, the nuts for the ball joints that connect the front upper control arms to the steering knuckles may not have been properly tightened. As a result, the upper control arm could separate from the knuckle. If this happens, there could be a loss of steering control. Note: This is an expansion of recall 24S64 (Transport Canada recall no. 2024-620). Safety Risk: A loss of steering control could create a risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Ford will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to inspect for loose and/or missing nut(s). Issue: On certain vehicles, the recall repairs completed by a Ford dealer during recall 24C24 (Transport Canada recall no. 2024-463) may not have been done correctly. As a result, a second repair is required. When using the key fob "global close" feature to close the windows, a software problem could cause the window automatic reversal system not to work. If this happens, a window may not stop and retract after detecting an object. As a result, the vehicles may not meet certain requirements of Canadian regulations. Safety Risk: A window that closes with too much force could create a risk of injury. Corrective Actions: Ford will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to update the driver and passenger door module software.
Issue: On certain trucks, a fuel vapour line bracket may have been installed in error. As a result, the fuel vapour line could become damaged by contact with the bracket and cause a fuel leak. Note: This recall only affects certain trucks equipped with a 2.7 L engine. Safety Risk: A fuel leak can create the risk of a fire. Corrective Actions: Ford will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your truck to a dealership to inspect if a fuel vapour line bracket was installed. The dealer will secure the fuel vapour line to the bracket, as necessary. If the fuel vapour line is damaged, it will be repaired or replaced.
