Issue: On certain trucks, a software problem could cause the rearview camera image not to display correctly. Note: This recall only affects vehicles equipped with a 360-degree camera system. Safety Risk: A rearview camera image that doesn't display correctly could reduce a driver's ability to see behind the vehicle while backing up. This could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Ford will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your truck to a dealership to update the image processing module (IPMB) software.

Issue: On certain trucks, the insulation under the truck may loosen and damage the driveshaft. If this happens, the driveshaft could break and cause a loss of power to the wheels. A broken driveshaft could also contact the ground and cause a loss of control. Additionally, the truck could move when the transmission is in Park and the parking brake is not used. Note: This recall only affects certain SuperCab and Crew Cab models equipped with a gas engine and an aluminum driveshaft. Safety Risk: A loss of power to the wheels or a loss of control could increase the risk of a crash. A parked vehicle that rolls away could also create the risk of an injury or a crash. Corrective Actions: Ford will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your truck to a dealer to add new attachments for the underbody insulators. The dealer will also inspect the driveshaft for damage and repair it, as necessary.

Issue: On certain trucks, the rear axle tube could deform at the spring seat attachment points. As a result, the driveshaft could detach from the rear axle and cause a loss of power to the wheels. If this happens, the truck could also move when the transmission is in Park, and the parking brake is not used. Note: This recall only affects single rear wheel trucks with a 6.7 L diesel engine. Safety Risk: A loss of power to the wheels could increase the risk of a crash. A parked vehicle that rolls away could also create the risk of an injury or a crash. Corrective Actions: Ford will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your truck to a dealer to inspect the rear axle. If the rear axle housing is deformed, the housing will be replaced. If the housing is not deformed, the dealer will repair the spring seat attachments.
