Issue: On certain vehicles, the release cable for the hood latch may be too tight. As a result, the latch could release, and the hood may open suddenly while driving. Safety Risk: A hood that opens suddenly while driving could block the driver's view and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: McLaren will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to replace the hood latch.
Issue: On certain vehicles, the connector on the driver's airbag may not be locked in place. If the connector comes loose, the airbag may not inflate in a crash. Safety Risk: An airbag that does not work properly could increase the risk of injury in a crash. Issue: On certain vehicles, the foam pad between the floor and the fuel tank could retain moisture. Over time, this moisture could cause corrosion to the tank and result in a fuel leak. Safety Risk: A fuel leak can create the risk of a fire. Corrective Actions: McLaren will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to remove the foam pad from the floor panel of the vehicle. Dealers will also inspect the fuel tank, and repair or replace it as necessary.
