Issue: On certain vehicles, the passenger-front airbag may not have been manufactured properly. As a result, the airbag could tear in a crash. Safety Risk: An airbag that doesn't work properly could increase the risk of injury in a crash. Corrective Actions: Jaguar will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to replace the passenger-front airbag module.
Issue: On certain vehicles, the passenger-front airbag may catch the cover panel when it inflates. If this happens, the airbag could tear and may not inflate properly. Safety Risk: An airbag that doesn't inflate properly could create an increased risk of injury in a crash. Corrective Actions: Jaguar will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to replace the passenger-front airbag module.
Issue: On certain vehicles, a software problem could cause the brake wear warning light not to turn on when the brake pads require replacement. Canadian regulations require the warning indicator to stay on when the brakes are worn. Safety Risk: Driving a vehicle with worn out brakes could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Jaguar will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to update the vehicle software.

A torn air bag may not adequately protect an occupant in a crash, increasing the risk of injury. Additionally, a torn air bag may allow hot gases to escape, which can cause a burn injury.
Dealers will replace the passenger air bag module, free of charge. Interim letters notifying owners of the safety risk were mailed August 26, 2025. A second letter will be sent once the remedy is available, anticipated 1st Quarter 2026. Owners may contact Jaguar's customer service at 1-800-452-4827. Jaguar's number for this recall is H552.
