Summary

Issue: On certain vehicles, a software problem could cause the daytime running lights (DRLs) not to turn on. As a result, the vehicles may not meet certain requirements of Canadian regulations. Safety Risk: DRLs that don't turn on could reduce visibility and make the vehicle less visible to others. These issues could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: FCA Canada will notify owners in writing and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to update the vehicle software.

Summary

Issue: On certain vehicles, the rearview camera may not have been manufactured properly and/or there could be a problem in the rearview camera software. As a result, the rearview camera image may not display. Safety Risk: A rearview camera image that doesn't display could reduce a driver's ability to see behind the vehicle while backing up. This could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: FCA Canada will notify owners in writing and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to update the rearview camera software. For certain vehicles, the dealer will also replace the radio assembly.

Summary

Issue: On certain vehicles, the tire and loading information label does not list that there is no spare tire in both official languages. The label reads as "NONE" when it should read as "NONE / AUCUN". Canadian regulations require the information to be listed on the label in both English and French. Safety Risk: This error does not affect vehicle safety. Corrective Actions: This is not a recall. The company has corrected the tire and loading information label for all new vehicles.

Issue: On certain vehicles, the compliance label doesn't list the gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR), the tire size or the rim size. This could lead to overloading of the vehicle. Additionally, when the rims and tires are replaced, the wrong rims and/or tires could be installed. Both issues could cause poor handling or a tire failure. Safety Risk: Poor handling or a tire failure could cause a loss of control and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: FCA Canada will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to install a corrected compliance label.

Canadian regulations require this information to be listed on the labels in both English and French. Safety Risk: Poor handling or a tire failure could cause a loss of control and increase the risk of a crash. Additionally, a label that is missing information in French could cause confusion. Corrective Actions: FCA will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to replace the compliance label. A French tire and loading information label will also be installed, if necessary.

Summary

Issue: On certain plug-in hybrid (PHEV) models, the pedestrian alert siren may be missing or not connected properly. As a result, the vehicle may not make a reverse warning sound when backing up, which doesn't meet the requirements of the Canadian regulations. Safety Risk: A pedestrian alert siren that doesn't work could create an increased risk of injury for other road users. Corrective Actions: FCA will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, secure or replace the connector for the pedestrian alert siren. If the siren is missing, one will be installed.

Summary

Issue: On certain plug-in hybrid (PHEV) models, some connections on the integrated dual charging module (IDCM) and high-voltage ground connections may not have been tightened properly. As a result, the connections could overheat. Safety Risk: An overheated connection could create a fire risk, even while the vehicle is parked and turned off. Corrective Actions: FCA Canada will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to inspect the connections from the integrated dual charging module (IDCM) to the 12 V battery and two high-voltage ground connections. The dealership will replace and tighten them as necessary. FCA Canada advises to park your vehicle outdoors and away from other vehicles or structures until the recall repairs have been completed.

Summary

Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2023-2025 Alfa Romeo Tonale and Dodge Hornet vehicles. The display module may not show the rearview camera image. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 111, "Rear Visibility."

Potential Consequence

A rearview image that does not display reduces the driver's view of what is behind the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy

Dealers will update the software or replace the display as necessary free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed beginning May 13, 2025. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 800-853-1403. Chrysler's numbers for this recall are 13C and 38C.

Summary

Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2023-2024 Dodge Hornet and Alfa Romeo Tonale vehicles. The maximum vehicle capacity weight value on the tire placard label is incorrect. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 110, "Tire Selection and Rims."

Potential Consequence

A vehicle with an incorrect maximum capacity weight value may be overloaded, which can increase the risk of a crash.

Remedy

Dealers will add an overlay label to the tire placard information, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed March 28, 2024. Owners may contact FCA US, LLC customer service at 1-800-853-1403. FCA US, LLC's number for this recall is 28B.
