Certain vehicles equipped with 2.0L engines may experience a condition where the accelerator may not return to idle. These vehicle, when operated in extremely low ambient temperature (-30 degrees Celsius) and at a fixed (constant) throttle position, may experience ice forming in the throttle valve that can prevent the throttle valve from closing when the driver's foot is removed from the accelerator pedal. Unwanted acceleration could result in a vehicle crash without prior warning. Correction: Dealers will add additional hardware between the intake manifold and the PCV valve to prevent the ice build-up condition.
