Issue: On certain vehicles, a software problem could cause the rearview camera image not to appear on the display. Canadian regulations require the rearview image to display when the transmission is shifted into reverse gear. Safety Risk: A rearview camera image that doesn't display could reduce a driver's ability to see behind the vehicle while backing up. This could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Audi will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to update the rearview camera software.
Issue: On certain vehicles, the fuel delivery module inside the fuel tank could fail. If this happens, the engine may run rough or may not start. This could also result in a sudden loss of engine power while driving. Note: This problem could cause the emission control system warning light to turn on. Safety Risk: A sudden loss of engine power could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Audi will contact owners by mail and instruct you to bring your vehicle to a dealership to replace the fuel delivery module.
Issue: On certain vehicles, a transmission fluid pipe was not properly welded. As a result, the pipe may leak transmission fluid. Safety Risk: A transmission fluid leak on the roadway could create a hazard for others by making the road slippery. Corrective Actions: Audi Canada will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to inspect and replace the defective transmission fluid pipe, if necessary.
Volkswagen Group of America, Inc. (Volkswagen) is recalling certain 2019-2021 Audi Q8, and 2020-2021 Audi Q7 vehicles. A component inside the fuel pump may break, causing the fuel pump to fail.
Fuel pump failure can cause an engine stall, increasing the risk of a crash.
Dealers will replace the fuel pump, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed December 22, 2022. Owners may contact Audi's customer service at 1-800-253-2834. Audi's number for this recall is 20DR.
Volkswagen Group of America, Inc. (Volkswagen) is recalling certain 2020 Audi Q8 vehicles. An insufficient weld on a transmission oil pipe may cause the vehicle to leak automatic transmission fluid (ATF).
If transmission fluid leaks while driving, the road surface may become slippery, increasing the risk of a crash.
Volkswagen will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the transmission oil pipe and replace it if necessary, free of charge. The recall began June 12, 2020. Owners may contact Volkswagen customer service at 1-800-253-2834. Volkswagen's number for this recall is 38C7.
