Issue: On certain vehicles, the instrument panel cluster could stop working. As a result, warnings, tell-tales and gauges may not display. Note: This recall only affects vehicles equipped with a 3.5" instrument cluster panel. Safety Risk: Warnings, tell-tales and gauges that don't display could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: FCA Canada will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to replace the instrument panel cluster.
Summary
Issue: Under certain conditions, the clutch pressure plate could overheat and break. If this happens, the pressure plate may also crack or break the transmission case. This could cause debris to fall from the vehicle. Note: This recall only affects certain vehicles equipped with a 3.6 L engine and a manual transmission. Vehicles repaired under FCA Canada recalls Y01, Y03 and Y07 (Transport Canada recall 2021-035) also require this repair. Safety Risk: Debris from an overheated and fractured pressure plate could contact nearby parts and increase the risk of a fire. Parts that fall from the vehicle could create a road hazard for others and increase the risk of injury. Corrective Actions: FCA Canada will notify owners by mail and advise you to tale your vehicle to a dealership to replace the clutch assembly. The dealer will also inspect and, if necessary, update the instrument panel cluster and powertrain control module software.

Corrective Actions: FCA Canada will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to update vehicle software. This update will reduce the engine power if the clutch overheats.

Safety Risk: A seat belt that does not work properly could increase the risk of injury in a crash. Corrective Actions: Fiat Chrysler Automobiles will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to replace the front seat belts.
Summary
Issue: On certain vehicles, the rearview camera image may be displayed even after the transmission is shifted out of reverse. This could cause a possible distraction for the driver. Canadian regulations require the rearview image to turn off within 10 seconds after shifting from reverse gear. Safety Risk: A driver that is distracted could have an increased risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: FCA Canada will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to update the radio software.

A broken pressure plate may also crack or break the transmission case. This could cause debris to fall from the vehicle. Safety Risk: A sudden of loss power to the wheels could increase the risk of a crash. Additionally, debris from an overheated and fractured pressure plate could contact nearby parts and increase the risk of a fire. Parts that fall from the vehicle could create a road hazard for others, and increase the risk of injury. Corrective Actions: FCA Canada will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to inspect the clutch system, install a protective hose sleeve, reroute a wire harness, and replace components as necessary

Issue: On certain vehicles, the steering shaft may not have been properly manufactured. This could cause it to separate and cause a loss of steering control. Safety Risk: A loss of steering control could create the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: The company will notify owners by mail. Owners will be instructed to take their vehicle to a dealer to inspect, and if necessary, replace the steering column assembly.
Summary
Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2018-2024 Jeep Wrangler vehicles. The wiring harness for the rearview camera and the center brake light may short circuit, which can disable the rearview camera image and center brake light. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard numbers 111, "Rear Visibility" and 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment."
Potential Consequence
A rearview camera image that does not display decreases the driver's visibility, increasing the risk of a crash. Additionally, a center brake light that fails to illuminate can fail to indicate to other drivers that the vehicle is slowing down, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy
Dealers replaced the harness for the center brake light and rearview camera and/or the spare tire carrier/harness assembly, as necessary, free of charge. All vehicles were repaired by January 15, 2024. Owner notification letters were mailed September 26, 2024. Owners may contact FCA US, LLC customer service at 1-800-853-1403. FCA US, LLC's number for this recall is 77B.

As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 101, "Controls and Displays."
Potential Consequence
An instrument panel that fails to display critical safety information, such as the speedometer or warning lights, can increase the risk of a crash.
Remedy
Dealers will replace the instrument panel cluster, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed between October 3, 2024, and January 23, 2025. Owners may contact FCA customer service at 1-800-853-1403. FCA's number for this recall is 30B.
