If you continue to drive the vehicle with these symptoms, the engine could fail. Note: This recall only affects plug-in hybrid (PHEV) models. Safety Risk: An engine failure could cause a sudden loss of power to the wheels and/or increase the risk of a vehicle fire. Both issues could increase the risk of a crash or injury. Corrective actions: FCA Canada will notify owners in writing. The corrective actions for this recall are under development.
Issue: On certain vehicles, the recall repairs completed by an FCA dealer during recall 95B (Transport Canada recall no. 2024-566) may not be effective. As a result, another repair is required. On certain vehicles, there could be a problem inside the high-voltage battery that can cause a fire, even while parked with the ignition off. Note: This recall only affects 4xe plug-in hybrid (PHEV) models. This recall replaces Transport Canada recall no. 2024-566. Safety Risk: The vehicle could catch fire, even while parked and turned off. Corrective Actions: To reduce the safety risk, FCA advises not to charge your vehicle, and to park it outdoors and away from other vehicles or structures until the recall repairs have been completed. FCA Canada will notify owners in writing and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to update the high-voltage battery pack software. If necessary, the battery pack will be replaced.

Corrective Action: FCA Canada will notify owners in writing and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, replace the second-row head restraints.

Canadian regulations require the rearview image to display when the transmission is shifted into reverse gear. Note: For the Grand Cherokee model, this recall affects both Grand Cherokee and Grand Cherokee L models. Safety Risk: A rearview camera image that doesn't display could reduce a driver's ability to see behind the vehicle while backing up. This could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: FCA Canada will notify owners in writing and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to update the rearview camera module software.
Issue: On certain vehicles, the bolts for the radiator crossmember may not have been tightened properly. As a result, the strength of the vehicle structure could be reduced in a crash. If this happens, the crash sensors may not work correctly and cause the airbags not to deploy properly. Additionally, this problem could cause certain fuel system components to become damaged in a crash, and fuel could leak. Note: This recall affects both the Grand Cherokee and Grand Cherokee L models. Safety Risk: Airbags that don't work properly could increase the risk of injury in a crash. A fuel leak can create the risk of a fire. Corrective Actions: FCA Canada will notify owners in writing and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to tighten the radiator crossmember bolts.

Canadian regulations require the DRLs to turn off when the front fog lamps are switched on. Note: This recall affects both Grand Cherokee and Grand Cherokee L models. Safety Risk: Daytime running lamps that stay on in foggy conditions could cause glare and reduced visibility. This could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Action: FCA Canada will notify owners in writing and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, replace the headlamp switch.
Issue: On certain vehicles, a software problem could cause a delay in the speedometer displaying the correct vehicle speed in the instrument panel cluster. Note: This recall affects both Grand Cherokee and Grand Cherokee L models. Safety Risk: A speedometer that doesn't display the correct vehicle speed could lead you to drive too fast without knowing. This could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: FCA Canada will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to reinforce the upper tether anchorages on the second-row seatback frame(s).
