Suspension

Jun 11, 2019Transport CanadaCampaign: 2019281

Summary

Issue: On certain vehicles, a buildup of dirt and mud could cause the rear suspension toe links to break. This could result in a sudden loss of vehicle stability. Note: This problem affects vehicles operated in Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba. The unique soil properties in this region could make a toe link more likely to break. Safety Risk: A loss of stability could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: The company will notify owners by mail and instruct them to take their vehicle to a dealer to install improved rear suspension toe links.

Airbag

Apr 26, 2016Transport CanadaCampaign: 2016186

Summary

Certain vehicles may not comply with the requirements of Canada Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (CMVSS) 208 - Occupant Protection in Frontal Impacts. Due to an assembly error involving the driver’s frontal airbag, the second stage of the airbag may to fail to deploy. As a result, the vehicle may fail to meet the occupant protection requirements of the standard. This could increase the risk of injury to the seat occupant in a crash where second-stage airbag deployment is warranted. Correction: Dealers will inspect the driver airbag module and, if necessary, replace it. Note: The primary stage of the driver's airbag deployment is not affected.
