Issue: On certain vehicles, the rear view camera system does not return to the default setting when the transmission is shifted to reverse. This could cause a reduction in rear visibility if a driver had previously adjusted the camera display. Canadian regulations require that the rear view image returns to its original setting each time the camera is turned on. Safety Risk: Reduced rear visibility could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: The company will notify owners by mail and instruct them to take their vehicle to a dealer to update the software for the rear view camera.
Certain long-wheelbase (Q70L) models may fail to comply with the requirements of Canada Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 110 - Tire Selection and Rims. The compliance labels may bear incorrect Gross Axle Weight Rating (GAWR) and and Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) information, contrary to the requirements of the standard. Correction: Revised labels will be mailed to owners along with instructions for proper installation. If owners are not comfortable installing the label themselves, they can take the label to a dealer for installation.
On certain vehicles, the fuel pressure sensor connected to the engine fuel delivery rail may not have been sufficiently tightened during vehicle assembly. Should the pressure sensor loosen, fuel could leak past a gasket used in the connection between the sensor and the rail. Fuel leakage, in the presence of an ignition source, could result in a fire causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Dealers will inspect the pressure sensor and tighten to specification. Note: This is an expansion of recall 2012-074. Vehicles that were repaired under the previous campaign are not affected because that remedy would have corrected the subject condition.
On certain hybrid vehicles, a defect in engine control module programming could cause a gradual throttle increase without driver input, which could cause vehicle speed to increase. This could increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will update vehicle software. Note: Applying the brake would allow the vehicle to be slowed or stopped.
