Summary
Issue: On certain vehicles, a software problem could cause infotainment system display to remain blank when the vehicle is started. As a result, when the transmission is shifted into reverse gear, the rearview camera image would not appear on the display. Note: This recall only affects certain trim levels. Safety Risk: A rearview camera image that doesn't display could reduce a driver's ability to see behind the vehicle while backing up. This could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: The company will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to update the infotainment system software.
Summary
Issue: On certain vehicles, the engine may not have been manufactured properly. As a result, the engine could make abnormal noises and a warning light may turn on. If you continue to drive the vehicle with these symptoms, the engine could fail. Note: This recall only affects certain vehicles equipped with 1.5 L or 2.0 L variable compression engines. Safety Risk: An engine failure could cause a sudden loss of power to the wheels and/or increase the risk of a vehicle fire. Both issues could increase the risk of a crash or injury. Corrective actions: The company will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, replace the engine. On certain vehicles, the dealer will also update the engine control module.

Alternatively, you may schedule an appointment to have the update performed at a Nissan dealership.

Additionally, if the vehicle is parked and the parking brake isn't applied, the vehicle could roll away. Note: This recall only affects two-wheel-drive (2WD) models. Safety Risk: A loss of power to the wheels could increase the risk of a crash. A parked vehicle that rolls away could also create the risk of an injury or a crash. Corrective Actions: Nissan will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to replace the driveshaft.

Issue: On certain vehicles, the driver seat belt pretensioner may not have been manufactured correctly. As a result, the seat belt pretensioner may not work properly in a crash. Safety Risk: A seat belt pretensioner that doesn't work properly could increase the risk of injury in a crash. Corrective Actions: Nissan will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, replace the driver seat belt pretensioner.

Issue: On certain vehicles, the driver-front airbag may not have been manufactured properly. Over time, moisture could enter the inflator and cause it not to inflate properly in a crash. Safety Risk: An airbag that doesn't inflate properly could increase the risk of injury in a crash. Corrective Actions: Nissan will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to replace the driver-front airbag.

Issue: In certain situations, a software problem in the adaptive front-light system (AFS) could cause the headlamps to become incorrectly aimed while driving. Safety Risk: Headlamps that aren't properly aimed could cause reduced visibility and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Nissan will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to reprogram the intelligent power distribution module.

Issue: On certain vehicles, the driver's seat frame may not have been properly welded. As a result, the seat frame could break in a crash. Safety Risk: A seat frame that breaks in a crash could create an increased risk of injury. Corrective Actions: Nissan will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, replace the driver's seat cushion frame.
Summary
Issue: On certain vehicles, the wrong door latch may have been installed in the front passenger door. As a result, the automatic locking function won't work on that door. An unlocked door could open in a crash. Safety Risk: A door that opens in a crash could increase the risk of injury. Corrective Actions: Infiniti will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealership to replace the right-front door lock assembly.
