Summary

Issue: On certain motorcycles, the wiring harness for the turn signal switch may not have been routed properly and could become damaged by contact with the cowl stay bracket. If this happens, the front and rear turn signal lights, brake lights, horn, speedometer, tail lights and license plate light may stop working. Safety Risk: Brake lights and/or turn signals that don't work properly may cause others not to recognize when the motorcycle is braking and/or turning. Exterior lights that don't work properly may make the motorcycle less visible to others. These issues could increase the risk of a crash. Additionally, riding a motorcycle without a speedometer could also increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Honda will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your motorcycle to a dealership to inspect the turn signal switch wiring harness and re-route and/or repair it, as necessary.
