Issue: On certain vehicles, the brake lamps may flash during certain braking events when the antilock braking system (ABS) is activated. Canadian regulations require the brake lamps to stay on constantly while braking. Safety Risk: Brake lamps that don't work properly could create confusion and cause others not to recognize when a vehicle is braking. This could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: General Motors will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to update the body control module software.
Issue: This recall is for certain all-weather floor liners that were installed before delivery or sold as a dealer accessory. On certain vehicles, the accelerator pedal could get stuck under the floor liner. If this happens, the vehicle may not slow down when you release the accelerator pedal. Safety Risk: A stuck accelerator pedal could cause an unintended acceleration and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: To reduce the safety risk, General Motors advises you to check for interference with the accelerator pedal and to remove the driver's all-weather floor liner until the recall repairs have been completed. General Motors will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, modify and/or reimburse the driver's all-weather floor liner.
Issue: On certain vehicles, a software problem could cause the lower beam headlamps not to turn on as it becomes dark outside if the multi-function switch is in the "OFF" or "PARKING LAMP" position. This could also cause the daytime running lamps (DRLs) to turn off when the vehicle is moving. As a result, the vehicles may not meet certain requirements of Canadian regulations. Safety Risk: Headlamps and/or DRLs that don't turn on could reduce visibility, make the vehicle less visible to others and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: General Motors will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to update the body control module (BCM)software.
General Motors, LLC (GM) is recalling certain 2024 Buick Envision vehicles. The vehicles are missing the label that states the tire size, pressure, and the loading information. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 110, "Tire Selection and Rims."
Missing tire and load rating information may result in driving with improperly inflated tires or an overloaded vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.
Dealers will install the label, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed November 1, 2024. Owners may contact Buick Customer Service at 800-521-7300.
