Full recall reportIssue: On certain vehicles, the rear window may not be properly attached. As a result, under certain conditions, the rear window could separate from the vehicle while driving. Safety Risk: A rear window that detaches from the vehicle could create a road hazard for others and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: To reduce the safety risk, McLaren recommends not to drive your vehicle on a racetrack until the recall repairs have been completed. McLaren will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to install additional fasteners to secure the rear window.

McLaren Automotive Incorporated (McClaren) is recalling certain 2021 765LT Coupe vehicles. The rear cabin window may have insufficient adhesive bonding, which can allow the window to detach from the support frame.
Potential consequence
A rear window that detaches from the vehicle can create a road hazard for other drivers, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy
Dealers will install bespoke fasteners into each corner of the polycarbonate panel, free of charge. Interim owner notification letters explaining the safety risk were mailed on December 4, 2024. Owners will receive a second notice when remedy parts become available, anticipated late September 2025. Owners may contact McClaren customer service at 1-646-429-8916.
