Issue: On a small number of vehicles, the brake lines for the rear wheels may not have been connected to the control module properly. As a result, the antilock braking system (ABS) and electronic stability program (ESP) systems may not work correctly. Safety Risk: An antilock braking system and electronic stability control system that doesn't work correctly could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: McLaren will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, correct the brake line connections.
Issue: On certain vehicles, the rear window may not be properly attached. As a result, under certain conditions, the rear window could separate from the vehicle while driving. Safety Risk: A rear window that detaches from the vehicle could create a road hazard for others and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: To reduce the safety risk, McLaren recommends not to drive your vehicle on a racetrack until the recall repairs have been completed. McLaren will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to install additional fasteners to secure the rear window.
McLaren Automotive Incorporated (McClaren) is recalling certain 2021 765LT Coupe vehicles. The rear cabin window may have insufficient adhesive bonding, which can allow the window to detach from the support frame.
A rear window that detaches from the vehicle can create a road hazard for other drivers, increasing the risk of a crash.
Dealers will install bespoke fasteners into each corner of the polycarbonate panel, free of charge. Interim owner notification letters explaining the safety risk were mailed on December 11, 2024.
