As a result, the seat belts may not work properly in a crash. Safety Risk: A seat belt that doesn't work properly could increase the risk of injury in a crash. Corrective Actions: FCA Canada will notify owners in writing and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to replace the rear outboard seat belt retractors.

Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2023-2025 Dodge Hornet and 2023-2026 Alfa Romeo Tonale vehicles. The rear outboard seat belts may become twisted and fail to retract properly.
Potential consequence
A seat belt that does not retract may fail to restrain properly an occupant as intended, increasing the risk of injury.
Remedy
Dealers will replace the retractors and pillar trim, as necessary, free of charge. Interim notification letters, notifying owners of the safety risk, were mailed September 17, 2026. A second notice will be sent once the final remedy is available. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 800-853-1403. Chrysler's number for this recall is 84D. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall became searchable on NHTSA.gov on August 15, 2026.

Potential consequence
A rearview image that does not display reduces the driver's view of what is behind the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy

Issue: On certain plug-in hybrid (PHEV) models, some connections on the integrated dual charging module (IDCM) and high-voltage ground connections may not have been tightened properly. Corrective Actions: FCA Canada will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to inspect the connections from the integrated dual charging module (IDCM) to the 12 V battery and two high-voltage ground connections. The dealership will replace and tighten them as necessary. FCA Canada advises to park your vehicle outdoors and away from other vehicles or structures until the recall repairs have been completed.
