Build the record
Cardog keeps one record per vehicle: what it is, what it runs, and what has happened to it, with every value naming its source. Manufacturers, dealers, insurers and public bodies rely on it. As cars become software and some of them start to drive, that record becomes part of how a country governs its roads.
The team is small and the surface is wide. Each person carries a whole area, from the first commit to the morning it misbehaves. Decisions are written down where the next person can find them. Nothing on a Cardog answer is guessed, and that rule shapes the code and the reviews.
If that sounds like the work you want, read why we do it, then pick a role below.
Open roles
Data
Every answer Cardog gives rests on rows somebody decided were true. These roles do the deciding, and have to be able to show why.
Design
A fact that was checked should look checked. A value nobody knows should look unknown. These roles make that plain to people who have never read a spec.
Business
Cardog is sold to manufacturers, dealer groups, insurers and governments, on long cycles, to people who know the subject. These roles bring in the revenue and shape the rules it depends on.
Field
Some of the work happens where the vehicle is and where the customer is. These roles build things that plug into cars and into other people's systems, and make them work on the first day.
How hiring works
Three conversations and no take-home. First, thirty minutes on the work and your background. Then forty-five minutes with the person who owns the area, on a real problem from it. Then a conversation with the founders.
We read every application ourselves and answer each one. If you do not see your role, write to careers@cardog.app with what you do and what you would build here.
