On certain vehicles in certain types of crashes, airbag and seatbelt pretensioner deployment capability may be lost due to a short in the front impact sensor wiring affecting Occupant Restraint Controller function. Failure of airbags and seatbelt pretensioners to deploy in a crash (when warranted) could increase the risk of injury. Correction: Dealers will replace the Occupant Restraint Controller module.

On certain vehicles, due to a software error in the occupant restraint control (ORC) module, side curtain airbag and seatbelt pretensioner deployment could be delayed or not occur in slower-developing rollover events. This could increase the risk of personal injury in a crash. Correction: Dealers will reprogram the module.

United States records (NHTSA) · 3

These are NHTSA campaigns for 2010 Jeep Compass vehicles sold in the United States. They are not Canadian recalls: NHTSA's VIN lookup has no Canadian data, and a US campaign may have no Canadian counterpart, or one under a different number covering different vehicles. For a vehicle sold in Canada, go by the Transport Canada listing above and Jeep's Canadian VIN lookup.
