Issue: On certain vehicles, a software problem could cause the adaptive cruise control (ACC) not to work properly. As a result, when the ACC is activated, the vehicle may not slow down or stop if the system detects the need to apply the brakes. Note: This recall only affects certain all-wheel drive models that are not equipped with the Super Cruise feature. Safety Risk: An adaptive cruise control system that doesn't work properly could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: To reduce the safety risk, General Motors advises that when using the adaptive cruise control system to be prepared to manually apply the brakes to safely slow or stop the vehicle. General Motors will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to update the brake system control module software.

Corrective Actions: General Motors will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to update the body control module software.

General Motors will instruct dealers to replace the door strikers and bolts before each vehicle is delivered.
