Issue: On certain vehicles, the high-pressure fuel pump may not have been manufactured properly. As a result, the fuel pump could crack and leak fuel. Safety Risk: A fuel leak can create the risk of a fire. Corrective Actions: Honda will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, replace the high-pressure fuel pump.
Issue: On certain vehicles, the steering gearbox may not have been manufactured properly. As a result, there could be a sudden change in steering feel and an increase in steering effort. Safety Risk: A sudden change in steering effort could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Honda will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to add grease to the steering gearbox and replace the electronic power steering spring.
Issue: On certain vehicles, some negative terminals in the high-voltage battery may not have been manufactured properly. As a result, a terminal and/or bus bar could break and cause electrical arcing (sparks). Note: This recall only affects hybrid (FHEV) models. Safety Risk: Electrical arcing can create the risk of a fire or injury. Corrective Actions: Honda will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to replace the high-voltage battery module.
Issue: This recall is for low-pressure fuel pumps installed on certain vehicles or sold at dealerships as a replacement part. On certain vehicles, the low-pressure fuel pump could fail. If this happens, the engine may run rough or may not start and the check engine light may turn on. This could also result in a sudden loss of engine power while driving. Note: This recall replaces Transport Canada recall no. 2023-679. Vehicles that were repaired under that recall don't require this repair. Safety Risk: A sudden loss of engine power could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: The company will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to replace the fuel pump motor.
Issue: On certain vehicles, a sensor in the electronic power steering could fail. If this happens, there could be a sudden increase in steering effort. Safety Risk: A sudden increase in steering effort could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Honda will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to replace the electronic power steering gearbox.
Issue: On certain vehicles, the weight sensor for the front passenger seat may not have been manufactured properly. As a result, the passenger-front airbag and knee airbag could deploy in a crash that doesn't require them to. Note: If the weight sensor fails, the SRS warning light would turn on in the instrument panel. Safety Risk: An airbag system that doesn't work properly could increase the risk of injury in a crash. Corrective Actions: Honda will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership for an inspection if the SRS warning light is on. If the SRS warning light is on due to a faulty weight sensor, the weight sensor will be replaced. When repair parts are available, Honda will send you a second letter. They will advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to replace the passenger-front seat weight sensor.
This recall was replaced by Transport Canada recall no. 2024-262. Issue: This recall is for low-pressure fuel pumps installed on certain vehicles or sold at dealerships as a replacement part. Issue: On certain vehicles, the rear frame could rust. In extreme cases, this could result in a rear trailing arm separating from the vehicle. Note: This recall replaces recall HN70 (Transport Canada Recall No. 2019-025). Vehicles that were inspected or repaired under that recall also require this second inspection and repair. Safety Risk: A rear trailing arm that separates could cause a loss of control and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Honda will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealership for an inspection of the rear frame stiffeners. If the vehicle passes the inspection, the dealer will install a brace. For a vehicle that does not pass the inspection, Honda will repurchase the vehicle. In the event the repurchase is declined by an owner, a secondary inspection and body shop repair method may be possible.
Issue: On certain vehicles, the seat belt buckles for the driver and front-passenger seats could wear over time and may not latch securely. If this happens, the seat belt could unlatch unexpectedly. Safety Risk: A seat belt that doesn't latch securely could create an increased risk of injury in a crash. Corrective Actions: Honda will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealership to inspect the driver and front-passenger seat belt assemblies. In most cases, the seat belt buckle release buttons will be replaced. If the dealer determines that a buckle can't be repaired, it will be replaced with a new part.
