Full recall reportIssue: On certain vehicles, the airbag warning labels are located on the headliner under the sun visors. Canadian regulations require information about the airbag system to be provided on both sides of the sun visor. Safety Risk: This small error does not affect safety. Corrective Actions: This is not a recall. Maserati has made changes to ensure that all new vehicles have the airbag warning labels installed correctly.

Issue: On certain vehicles, the tire inflation pressure label lists the wrong cold tire pressure for the tires. The pressures are below what is recommended for the load limit listed. Canadian regulations require the recommended inflation pressures to be listed on the label. Safety Risk: This small error does not affect vehicle safety. The vehicles are equipped with a Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) which will turn on the warning light if the tire pressure drops below the minimum safe inflation pressure. Corrective Actions: This is not a recall. Maserati has made changes to ensure that all new vehicles have the correct tire inflation pressure on the label.

Certain vehicles may have incomplete welds on the front subframe due to a manufacturing error. This could cause the welds on the subframe to break, which could affect vehicle handling and increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or property damage. Correction: Dealers will inspect the subframe for incomplete welds and replace it as necessary.

Maserati North America, Inc. (Maserati) is recalling certain 2018 Maserati Quattroporte, Ghibli, and Levante vehicles. The welds on the front sub frame may be incomplete, which can result in the welds breaking.
Potential consequence
If the welds fracture, it can cause a loss of vehicle control, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy
Maserati will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the sub frame for incomplete welds, replacing the sub frame, as necessary, free of charge. The recall began on June 29, 2018. Owners may contact Maserati customer service at 1-877-696-2737. Maserati's number for this recall is 369.
