Safety & recalls
Full recall reportOn certain vehicles, both Daytime Running Lights will deactivate when either the right or left turn signal is activated. Correction: Dealer will replace the existing Aviator DRL (Daytime Running Light) module with the Explorer DRL module and rework appropriate wire harnesses. This will change the DRL system from a reduced voltage hi-beam lamp system to a fog lamp DRL system.

On certain vehicles, the transmission shifter cable may become dislodged from the shifter cable bracket resulting in incorrect gear indication, which can include the park position. Correction: Dealers will install a strap to the shifter cable adjuster to prevent the cable from dislodging from the bracket.

DEALERS WILL ADD A STRAP TO THE SHIFT CABLE ADJUSTER TO PREVENT THE SHIFT CABLE FROM BECOMING DISLODGED. FORD HAS NOT YET PROVIDED AN OWNER NOTIFICATION SCHEDULE FOR THIS CAMPAIGN. OWNERS WHO DO NOT RECEIVE THE FREE REMEDY WITHIN A REASONABLE TIME SHOULD CONTACT FORD AT 1-866-436-7332.
