Safety Risk: Trim that detaches from the vehicle could create a road hazard for others and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Genesis will notify owners in writing and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, replace the exterior stainless-steel trim above the windshield.

Hyundai Motor America (Hyundai) is recalling certain 2023-2025 Genesis GV60 electric vehicles. The stainless-steel molding at the top of the windshield assembly may detach.
Potential consequence
Detached molding can create a road hazard for other vehicles, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy
Dealers will replace the windshield molding, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed beginning October 30, 2025. Owners may contact Genesis customer service at 844-340-9741. Hyundai's number for this recall is 028G. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall became searchable on NHTSA.gov on September 20, 2025.

Hyundai Motor America (Hyundai) is recalling certain Genesis 2023-2025 G90 and GV60 vehicles. Due to a software error, the instrument panel display may fail. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 101, "Controls and Displays."
Potential consequence
An instrument panel display that fails to show critical safety information, such as the speedometer or warning lights, increases the risk of a crash.
Remedy
The instrument panel display software will be updated over-the-air (OTA) or by a dealer, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed August 22, 2025. Owners may contact Genesis customer service at 844-340-9741. Hyundai's number for this recall is 027G.

Issue: Over time, the integrated charging control unit (ICCU) could become damaged. As a result, the 12 V battery will not charge and could cause the vehicle to enter a reduced power mode. If this happens, and you continue to drive the vehicle, there could be a loss of power to the wheels. Note: This recall replaces Transport Canada recall no. 2024-174. Vehicles that were repaired under that recall also require this repair. This problem will cause a warning light to turn on and warning messages to display before any loss of power. For the Genesis GV70 and G80 models, only the electric versions (EV) are affected. Safety Risk: A loss of power to the wheels could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Hyundai will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to update the vehicle software. The dealer will also inspect and, if necessary, replace the ICCU and ICCU fuse.

The Integrated Charging Control Unit (ICCU) may become damaged and stop charging the 12-volt battery, which can result in a loss of drive power.
Potential consequence
A loss of drive power increases the risk of a crash.
Remedy
Dealers will inspect and replace the ICCU and its fuse, as necessary. In addition, dealers will update the ICCU software. All repairs will be performed free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed December 20, 2024. Owners may contact Hyundai customer service at 1-855-371-9460 or Genesis customer service at 1-844-340-9741. Hyundai's numbers for this recall are 272 (Hyundai) and 025G (Genesis). This recall expands and replaces previous recall number 24V-204. Vehicles previously repaired under recall 24V-204 will need to have the new remedy completed.

Issue: On certain vehicles, the compliance label may be missing information in French. The words listed on the label for "Tires", "Rims", "Front" and "Rear" appear in English only, when they should be listed as "Tires/Pneus", "Rims/Jantes", "Front/Avant" and "Rear/Arriere". Canadian regulations require this information to be listed on the label in both English and French. Safety Risk: These small errors do not affect vehicle safety. Corrective Actions: This is not a recall. The company has corrected the compliance label for all new vehicles.

Issue: Under certain conditions, a software problem could cause the rearview camera image not to display. Canadian regulations require the rearview image to display when the vehicle is reversing. Safety Risk: A rearview camera image that doesn't display properly could reduce a driver's ability to see behind the vehicle while backing up. This could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: To reduce the safety risk, Genesis advises you to limit the reverse speed to below 10 km/h until the recall repairs are completed. Genesis will notify owners in writing and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to update the rearview camera system software.

Remedy
Dealers will replace the rear inner driveshaft, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed March 29, 2024. Owners may contact Hyundai customer service at 1-855-371-9460. Hyundai's numbers for this recall are 253(H), 017G(G).

If this happens, a passenger may not be able to use the seat belt. Safety Risk: Not wearing a seat belt can increase the risk of injury in a crash. Corrective Actions: Hyundai will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to inspect the passenger-front seat belt, and replace it if necessary. The automatic locking retractor for the front passenger-side seat belt may prohibit the seat belt from fastening and/or extending properly. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard numbers 208, "Occupant Crash Protection" and 209, "Seat Belt Assemblies."
Potential consequence
A seat belt that fails to fasten or extend properly may not adequately restrain an occupant in a crash, increasing the risk of injury.
Remedy

Hyundai Motor America (Hyundai) is recalling certain 2020-2023 Genesis GV80, 2021-2023 Genesis G80, 2022-2023 Genesis GV70, and 2023 Genesis GV60 vehicles. In the event of a crash, the front driver-side and/or passenger-side seat belt pretensioners may explode upon deployment.
Potential consequence
An exploding seat belt pretensioner can project metal fragments into the vehicle, strike vehicle occupants, and result in injury.
Remedy
Dealers will secure the seat belt pretensioners with a cap, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed April 14, 2023. For GV60 owners, Interim notification letters, notifying owners of the safety risk, were mailed April 14, 2023. A second notice will be sent once the final remedy is available. Owners may contact Hyundai customer service at 1-855-371-9460. Hyundai's number for this recall is 012G. This recall supersedes and expands recall number 21V-796. Vehicles previously repaired under recall 21V-796 will need to have the new remedy completed.
