Potential consequence
The unintended connection may prevent the air bags from deploying, increasing the risk of injury during a crash.
Remedy

As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 111, "Rear Visibility."
Potential consequence
A rearview image that does not display reduces the driver's view behind the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy
Dealers will update the central vision processing module software or replace the module, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed beginning July 16, 2026. Issue: On certain vehicles converted for wheelchair access by Vantage Mobility, the wheelchair tie-down retractors may not have been manufactured properly. As a result, the retractor(s) may not lock automatically. If this happens, the wheelchair may not be secured correctly and could move in a crash. Note: This recall only affects certain Q'Straint QRT-DELUXE and QRT-MAX wheelchair retractors with the part number Q8-6200 or Q8-6209. Safety Risk: A wheelchair that moves in a crash could increase the risk of injury. Corrective Actions: To reduce the safety risk, Vantage Mobility recommends you confirm the wheelchair is secured properly by attempting to move it before driving until the recall repairs have been completed.
