Issue: On certain vehicles, under certain conditions, a software problem in the battery electric vehicle control unit (BEV ECU) could cause the electric drive system to shut down while driving. If this happens, there could be a sudden loss of power to the wheels. Safety Risk: A sudden loss of power to the wheels could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: To reduce the safety risk, Toyota advises that you should limit the vehicle's maximum state of charge to no more than 80% until the recall repairs have been completed. Toyota will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to update the BEV ECU software.

United States records (NHTSA) · 1

These are NHTSA campaigns for 2026 Toyota C-HR vehicles sold in the United States. They are not Canadian recalls: NHTSA's VIN lookup has no Canadian data, and a US campaign may have no Canadian counterpart, or one under a different number covering different vehicles. For a vehicle sold in Canada, go by the Transport Canada listing above and Toyota's Canadian VIN lookup.
