Summary
Issue: On certain vehicles, a software problem could cause the occupant restraint controller (ORC) module to turn off while driving. If this happens, the airbags, seat belt pretensioners, and electronic stability control (ESC) system would not work. Note: This problem would cause the airbag warning light, antilock braking system (ABS) light, and seat belt reminder light to display. This recall also affects certain RAM 3500, 4500 and 5500 chassis cab incomplete vehicles. Safety Risk: Airbags and seat belt pretensioners that don't work could increase the risk of injury in a crash. An electronic stability control system that doesn't work could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: FCA Canada will notify owners in writing and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to update the occupant restraint controller (ORC) module software.
Summary
Issue: On certain vehicles, a software problem could cause the instrument panel cluster screen not to display when starting the vehicle or while driving. If this happens, you may not be able to see certain information about the vehicle, including the gear selection, warnings, and tell-tales. Note: This recall only affects vehicles equipped with a 12" instrument panel cluster. This recall also affects certain RAM 3500, 4500 and 5500 chassis cab incomplete vehicles. Safety Risk: Warnings, tell-tales and gear selection indicators that don't display could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: FCA Canada will notify owners in writing and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to update or replace the instrument panel cluster, as necessary.
Summary
Issue: On certain vehicles, the wrong instrument panel cluster may have been installed during production. As a result, the brake system malfunction and parking brake indicators would display as text instead of symbols. Canadian regulations require certain symbols to be used. Note: This recall only affects vehicles equipped with a 3.5-inch instrument panel cluster. Safety Risk: Incorrect indicators could create confusion and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: FCA Canada will notify owners in writing and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to replace the instrument panel cluster.

Issue: On certain trucks, the brake hydraulic control unit could fail. Over time, this could cause the antilock braking system (ABS), electronic stability control (ESC) system and/or traction control not to work. Note: This recall also affects certain RAM 3500, 4500 and 5500 chassis cab incomplete vehicles. Safety Risk: An antilock braking system, electronic stability control system and/or traction control system that doesn't work could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: FCA Canada will notify owners in writing and advise you to take your truck to a dealership to replace the brake hydraulic control unit.
Summary
Issue: On certain vehicles, the tire and loading information label does not list that there is no spare tire in both official languages. The label reads as "NONE" when it should read as "NONE / AUCUN". Canadian regulations require the information to be listed on the label in both English and French. Safety Risk: This error does not affect vehicle safety. Corrective Actions: This is not a recall. The company has corrected the tire and loading information label for all new vehicles.

Issue: On certain vehicles, the steering column control module may not have been manufactured properly. As a result, the driver-front airbag may not inflate in a crash. Note: This problem would cause the airbag warning light to turn on. Safety Risk: An airbag that is turned off could increase the risk of injury in a crash. Issue: On certain vehicles, a problem with the steering control module could cause a turn signal not to turn off or to flash briefly in the opposite direction after making a turn or changing lanes. This problem could also cause the high beams to turn on when a turn signal is activated, or a turn signal to turn on when the high beams are turned on. Safety Risk: Turn signals that stay on or flash in the opposite direction after making a turn or changing lanes could create confusion for others. High beams that turn on when a turn signal is activated could cause reduced visibility and/or glare for oncoming drivers. These issues could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: FCA Canada will notify owners by mail and advise you to bring your vehicle to a dealer to update the steering control module software. The dealer will also inspect and, if necessary, replace the module.
Summary
Issue: On certain trucks and chassis-cabs equipped with a 6.7 L Cummins diesel engine, the intake air heater relay could short circuit. This could happen even when the vehicle is parked, and the ignition switch is in the off position. Safety Risk: A short circuit could create a fire risk. Corrective Actions: FCA Canada will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealership to replace the intake air heater relay. FCA recommends that you should park your vehicle outside and away from other vehicles or buildings until the recall repairs are completed.

Issue: On certain chassis-cab vehicles, the openings inside the rear brake hoses may be too small. As a result, a hose could fail and cause reduced braking. Safety Risk: Reduced braking can cause extended stopping distances and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: FCA Canada will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealership to replace the rear brake hoses.

Issue: On certain trucks, a problem in the engine control module (ECM) could cause a short circuit. If this happens, the engine could stall and you may not be able to restart it. Safety Risk: A sudden loss of engine power could increase the risk of a crash.
