Issue: On certain vehicles, the low-pressure fuel pump could fail. If this happens, the engine may run rough or may not start and the check engine light may turn on. This could also result in a sudden loss of engine power while driving. Safety Risk: A sudden loss of engine power could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Lexus will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealer to replace the fuel pump.

On certain vehicles equipped with a 5.0L V8 gasoline engine, a fatigue crack could develop on the cover of the high pressure fuel pump. If the vehicle is operated with this condition, the crack could expand and allow fuel to leak. Leaking fuel in the presence of an ignition source could result in a fire, increasing the risk of injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will replace the high pressure fuel pumps with improved ones.

These are NHTSA campaigns for 2018 Lexus RC F vehicles sold in the United States. They are not Canadian recalls: NHTSA's VIN lookup has no Canadian data, and a US campaign may have no Canadian counterpart, or one under a different number covering different vehicles.
