Summary
Issue: This recall is for certain replacement engines. The oil filter housing may not have been manufactured properly. Over time, the housing could crack and cause oil to leak onto hot components in the engine compartment. Safety Risk: Oil that leaks onto hot components can create the risk of a fire. Additionally, an oil leak could create a hazard for others and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: None of the affected engines have been installed in vehicles. Land Rover will instruct dealers to replace the oil filter housing assembly before each engine is installed.
Visual System
Summary
Issue: On certain Ranger Rover Sport models, the recall repairs completed by a Land Rover dealer during recall N778 (Transport Canada recall no. 2024-017) may not have been done correctly. As a result, a second repair is required. On certain vehicles, water could leak into the rearview camera and cause the rearview camera image not to display correctly. Note: This recall only affects vehicles equipped with a surround camera system. Safety Risk: A rearview camera image that doesn't display correctly could reduce a driver's ability to see behind the vehicle while backing up. This could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Land Rover will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to inspect the rearview camera and install a new seal. The dealer will replace the rearview camera, if necessary.
BACK OVER PREVENTION: SENSING SYSTEM: CAMERA
Summary
Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC (Land Rover) is recalling certain 2018-2022 Range Rover Sport vehicles equipped with a Surround Camera System. Water may enter into the rearview camera, which can cause the rearview camera image not to appear on the display or display a distorted image. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 111, "Rear Visibility."
Potential Consequence
A rearview camera image that does not display can decrease the driver's visibility, increasing the risk of injury or crash.
Remedy
Dealers will inspect the rearview camera for damage. If no damage is found, the camera will be fitted with a new seal. If damage is found, the camera will be replaced and calibrated. Repairs will be performed free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed July 18, 2024. Owners may contact Land Rover customer service at 1-800-637-6837. BACK OVER PREVENTION: SENSING SYSTEM: CAMERA
Summary
Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC (Land Rover) is recalling certain 2018-2022 Range Rover and Range Rover Sport vehicles equipped with a Surround Camera System.
