Issue: On certain vehicles, a software problem could cause the rearview camera image not to display when the transmission is shifted into reverse. Canadian regulations require the rearview image to display when the vehicle is reversing. Safety Risk: A rearview camera image that doesn't display could reduce a driver's ability to see behind the vehicle while backing up. This could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Ford will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to update the SYNC software.
Issue: On one vehicle, the recall repairs completed by a Ford dealer during recall 22S18 (Transport Canada recall no. 2022-147) may not have been done correctly. As a result, a second repair is required. On certain vehicles, the rearview camera image will not display when the transmission is shifted into reverse gear. Note: This recall only affects certain Transit chassis cab and incomplete vehicles not equipped with the SYNC system. Safety Risk: A rearview camera image that does not display could reduce a driver's ability to see behind the vehicle while backing up. This could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Ford will notify the owner by mail and instruct them to take their vehicle to a dealer to update the audio control module configuration settings.
Issue: On certain vehicles, the recall repairs completed by a Ford dealer during recall 22C11 (Transport Canada recall no. 2022-307) may not have been done correctly. As a result, a second repair is required. On certain vehicles, the warnings, tell-tales and gauges may not display properly in the instrument panel cluster. Note: This recall only affects vehicles equipped with a 4.2" monochromatic instrument panel cluster. Safety Risk: Warnings, tell-tales and gauges that don't display properly could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Ford will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to update the instrument panel cluster software.
Issue: On certain vehicles, a software problem could cause the rearview camera image not to display or to freeze when the transmission is shifted into reverse. Safety Risk: A rearview camera image that doesn't display correctly could reduce a driver's ability to see behind the vehicle while backing up. This could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Ford will notify owners by mail and send a wireless over-the-air software update to eligible vehicles to update the SYNC software. Alternatively, you may schedule an appointment to have the update performed at a Ford dealership.
Issue: On certain vehicles equipped with a 360-degree camera, a software problem could cause the rearview camera image not to appear on the SYNC display screen. Canadian regulations require the rearview image to display when the vehicle is reversing. Note: This recall replaces Transport Canada recall no. 2023-477. Vehicles that were repaired under that recall don't require this repair. Safety Risk: A rearview camera image that doesn't display could reduce a driver's ability to see behind the vehicle while backing up. This could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Ford will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to replace the rearview camera, and modify the camera wire retention as necessary. Some Transit models will also require a software update.

Canadian regulations require the rearview image to display when the transmission is shifted into reverse gear. Safety Risk: A rearview camera image that doesn't display could reduce a driver's ability to see behind the vehicle while backing up. This could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Ford will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to update the rearview camera software.

As a result, a second repair is required. On certain vehicles, a software problem could cause the controls for the ventilation control system (HVAC) not to work. As a result, you may not be able to defog or defrost the windshield or windows. Note: This recall only affects vehicles equipped with a 12" display screen, SYNC 4 and electronic automatic temperature controls. Safety Risk: A windshield that cannot be defogged or defrosted can reduce visibility and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Ford will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to update the remote climate control module software.
This recall was replaced by Transport Canada recall no. 2025-223. Some Transit models will also require a software update.
Issue: On a small number of vehicles modified by Crew Chief Conversions, a fuel hose on the generator may not be properly secured and could leak fuel. Note: This recall only affects vehicles equipped with an Onan QG 2800i generator. Safety Risk: A fuel leak can create the risk of a fire. Corrective Actions: Crew Chief Conversions will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a Cummins authorized service center to inspect the fuel hose between the generator fuel filter and injection pump module. The fuel hose and clamps will be replaced, if necessary. To reduce the safety risk, Crew Chief Conversions advises that you should not use the generator until the recall inspection is completed.
