Summary
Issue: On a small number of vehicles, the parking pawl return spring in the electric drive module may not have been installed correctly. As a result, when the transmission is shifted to Park, the vehicle could move if the parking brake isn't applied. Safety Risk: A parked vehicle that rolls away could create the risk of an injury or a crash. Corrective Actions: To reduce the safety risk, FCA Canada recommends that you should always use the parking brake when you park. FCA Canada will notify owners in writing and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to replace the electric drive module.

Issue: On certain electric vehicles, a software problem could cause the pedestrian warning system not to work. Canadian regulations require electric vehicles to make a minimum exterior sound. Safety Risk: A pedestrian warning system that doesn't work could create an increased risk of injury for other road users. Corrective Actions: FCA Canada will notify owners in writing and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to update the amplifier software.
Summary
Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2024-2025 Dodge Charger and Jeep Wagoneer S electric vehicles. An incorrectly installed spring may cause the loss of the park function when the vehicle’s gear selector is placed in the park (P) position, which can result in a vehicle rollaway. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 114, "Theft Protection and Rollaway Prevention."
Potential Consequence
A vehicle rollaway increases the risk of a crash.
Remedy
Dealers will replace the electric drive module, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed September 25, 2025. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 800-853-1403. Chrysler's number for this recall is 63C. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall will be searchable on NHTSA.gov beginning September 11, 2025.

As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 141, "Minimum Sound Requirements for Hybrid Electric Vehicles."
