On certain 528E vehicles, at very cold temperatures, when the engine is warmed up, water vapour might condense and freeze in the throttle houseing after a period of steady driving, causing ice build-up around the throttle plate. The ice may prevent the throttle plate from closing when the driver releases the accelerator pedal. Note: This recall supersedes recall V82017.
On certain BMW 528E vehicles, at temperatures of -9 degrees celsius and colder and a warmed up engine, water vapour might condense and freeze in the throttle houseing after a period of steady driving, causing ice buildup around the throttle plate. The ice may prevent the throttle plate from fully closing when the driver releases the accelerator pedal.
