Issue: On certain vehicles, the brake reservoir fluid cap may not vent properly. As a result, the braking system could leak brake fluid. If this happens, there could be a partial or total loss of braking. Safety Risk: Reduced braking or a loss of brakes can increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Ferrari will notify owners by mail. Ferrari will send you a second notice once the repair parts are available. Ferrari advises that if the "Low Brake Fluid" warning message appears on the vehicle dashboard, you should pull off the road as soon as it is safe to do so. You should then contact Ferrari Roadside Assistance and get towed to the nearest dealer.

Issue: On certain vehicles, the airbag electronic control unit (ECU) could be damaged by an electrical fault. This could cause the airbag system not to work properly in a crash. It could also result in a deployment of the airbags and/or seat belt pretensioners without a crash. Safety Risk: Airbags that do not work properly in a crash could create an increased risk of injury. Airbags or seat belt pretensioners that deploy without a crash could create a risk of injury and also increase the risk of a crash. Issue: On certain vehicles, long-term exposure to high absolute humidity and temperature, combined with high temperature cycling, may eventually degrade the propellant contained in the passenger-front airbag. This could cause the airbag to deploy with more force than normal. If the airbag inflator ruptures, fragments could be propelled toward vehicle occupants or cause damage to the airbag assembly, preventing its proper function. Safety Risk: If the vehicle is involved in a crash requiring an airbag deployment, the airbag inflator could rupture and create a risk of injury. Corrective Action: Owners will be notified by mail and instructed to take their vehicle to a dealer to have the passenger-front airbag module replaced. Note: The Canadian climate results in the propellant degrading slowly. This recall is being conducted as a precaution to address future risk. It is expected that all airbag inflators will be replaced before their function would be affected.
