Issue: On a small number of vehicles, a software problem could cause the instrument cluster to reset while driving. Canadian regulations require the instrument cluster to be illuminated when the headlights are turned on and require warnings to work at all times. Safety Risk: This small error does not affect safety. Corrective Actions: This is not a recall. Mercedes-Benz has made changes to correct this issue on all new vehicles.

Issue: On certain vehicles equipped with the emergency calling (eCall) system, the SIM card for the communications module could disable itself. If this happens, the eCall system would not work properly when there is a crash or when the SOS button is pressed. Safety Risk: If the eCall system does not work in an emergency situation, there could be a delay in response from emergency services. Corrective Actions: Mercedes-Benz will notify owners by mail and send a wireless over-the-air software update to each vehicle. If the update cannot be completed successfully, you will be notified to schedule an appointment to have the update performed by a dealer.
