   Issue: On certain vehicles, the recall repairs completed by a Jaguar dealer during Transport Canada recall nos. 2023-302, 2023-564 and 2024-073 may not be effective. As a result, another repair is required. On certain vehicles, there could be a problem inside the high-voltage battery. As a result, the battery could create smoke or heat, which can melt or damage the battery and nearby parts. Safety Risk: A battery that overheats can create a fire risk. Corrective Actions: To reduce the safety risk, Jaguar recommends that you charge and park your vehicle outside and away from other vehicles or buildings until the recall repairs are completed. As an interim repair, a dealer will update the vehicle software to limit the maximum charge setting at 90% until the recall repairs are available. Once the final repair is available, Jaguar will notify you by mail. The corrective actions for this recall are under development.

   Issue: On a small number of vehicles, the recall repairs completed by a Jaguar dealer during recall H441 (Transport Canada recall number 2023-302) may not have been done correctly. As a result, a second repair is required. On certain vehicles, there could be a problem inside the high-voltage battery. As a result, the battery could create smoke or heat, which can melt or damage the battery and nearby parts. Safety Risk: A battery that overheats can create a fire risk. Corrective Actions: Jaguar will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to install a software update for the battery energy control module. This software will monitor the high-voltage battery and warn you if it detects a problem. If this happens, the software will reduce the charging capacity to 75% and direct you to bring your vehicle to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, replace the battery module and/or pack. Jaguar recommends parking your vehicle outside and away from other vehicles or buildings until the recall repairs are completed.

   Issue: On certain vehicles, the high-voltage coolant heater could fail. If this happens, you may experience reduced cabin heat, and the windshield defrost system may not work properly. Note: This recall only affects vehicles without a heated windshield. Safety Risk: A windshield defroster that doesn't work may cause reduced visibility and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Jaguar Land Rover will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to replace the high-voltage coolant heater.

   Issue: On certain vehicles, there could be a problem inside the high-voltage battery. As a result, the battery could create smoke or heat, which can melt or damage the battery and nearby parts. Safety Risk: A battery that overheats can create a fire risk. Corrective Actions: Jaguar will notify owners by mail and provide a software update for the battery energy control module. Jaguar recommends parking your vehicle outside and away from other vehicles or buildings until the recall repairs are completed. For 2021 and newer vehicles, Jaguar send a wireless over-the-air software update to each vehicle. For 2019 and 2020 models, Jaguar will instruct you to schedule an appointment to have the update performed by a dealer. This software will monitor the high-voltage battery and warn you if it detects a problem. If this happens, the software will reduce the charging capacity to 75% and direct you to bring your vehicle to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, replace the battery module and/or pack.

   Issue: If there is a failure of the electrical regenerative braking system, there may be a delay before the brakes apply. Safety Risk: Reduced braking could cause extended stopping distances and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: The company will notify owners by mail and instruct them to take their vehicle to a dealer to update the vehicle software.
