VEHICLE DESCRIPTION: HEAVY DUTY TRUCKS. THE AIR BRAKE RESERVOIR ASSEMBLIES HAVE POOR WELD FUSION AT THE WELDED SEAMS IN THE RESERVOIRS. THIS COULD RESULT IN REPUTURE OF THE SEAM AND SUBSEQUENT RELEASE OF THE COMPRESSED AIR.
RAPID RELEASE OF THE COMPRESSED AIR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE CAB FLOOR OR SURROUNDING COMPONENTS AND COULD RESULT IN PERSONAL INJURY. LOSS OF PRESSURE FROM THE PRIMARY RESERVOIR WOULD ALSO RESULT IN LOSS OF AIR SUPPLY TO THE FRONT BRAKES INCREASING THE RISK OF A VEHICLE CRASH.
DEALERS WILL REPLACE THE PRIMARY AND SECONDARY AIR BRAKE RESERVOIRS.

THESE VEHICLES MAY EXPERIENCE SEPARATION ALONG THE LONGITUDINAL WELD SEAM OF THE PRIMARY OR SECONDARY AIR RESERVOIR. THE FORCE OF A SEPARATION COULD POTENTIALLY CAUSE PERSONAL INJURY. LOSS OF AIR PRESSURE WOULD RESULT IN ACTUATION OF THE TRACTOR'S REAR SPRING BRAKES. CORRECTION: PRIMARY AND SECONDARY AIR RESERVOIRS WILL BE REPLACED WITH NEW AIR RESERVOIRS.

Correction: A revised governor lever with a stainless steel swivel will be installed on affected vehicles.

On certain B600, B700, F600, F700, F800, FT900, LA9000, LL9000, LTA9000 and LTL9000 vehicles, a connector where the wiring for lamps mounted on the tilt hood attaches to the vehicle wire harness was built without sealing plugs in the unused cavities of the connector. Road salt, moisture or other contaminants may enter the connector, which could result in crossed circuits, shorts or corrosion of the wiring in the connector and a malfunction of the headlamps or other front-end lighting systems. Correction: Sealing plugs will be installed in the unused connector cavities. If corroded, a new connector will be installed.

1994 Ford L-Series recall questions
NHTSA lists 1 recall for the 1994 Ford L-Series model year. That counts campaigns naming this model year, not recalls on your vehicle: many cover only a VIN range or production window. Transport Canada lists 3 Canadian campaigns for the Canadian-market model, shown separately.
Enter your VIN in NHTSA's recall lookup or Ford's own, or call a Ford dealer with your VIN. Cardog uses your VIN only to find the model year; the recalls shown here are listed for that model year and are not matched to your VIN.
Not necessarily. Transport Canada campaigns cover vehicles sold in Canada. For a vehicle sold in the United States, go by the NHTSA listing and NHTSA's VIN lookup.
Safety recall repairs are normally done at no charge by an authorized Ford dealer. The manufacturer's notice for each campaign sets out the remedy and any conditions, so confirm with the dealer when you book.
Once Ford's lookup or a dealer confirms a recall applies, book the repair with an authorized Ford dealer and bring your VIN. If the manufacturer's notice says not to drive the vehicle or to park it outside, follow that instruction. Parts can take time, so book early.
Follow the manufacturer's notice for that recall. Most allow normal driving until the repair; some tell owners to stop driving or to park outside until it is fixed. Cardog does not grade recalls by severity: the manufacturer's notice and your dealer are the source.
Manufacturers must notify owners they have on record. If you bought the vehicle used or have moved, update your details with Ford so notices reach you, and check NHTSA's lookup from time to time.
