Issue: On certain trucks, poor signal strength could cause the electronic control unit (ECU) to stop working or not to work properly. As a result, some safety systems may not work, including the antilock braking system, automatic traction control, electronic stability control, active cruise control and the collision mitigation system. Note: For the VNR model, this recall affects only the VNRe model. Safety Risks: Vehicle safety systems that don't work correctly could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Volvo will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your truck to a dealership to reprogram the ECU software.

Issue: On certain trucks, when the manual override is used to switch off the daytime running lamps (DRLs), the lights may not turn on again when you start driving. Canadian regulations require that if DRLs are manually turned off, they must turn on again when you start driving. Safety Risk: Driving without daytime running lights could make the vehicle less visible to others and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Volvo Trucks will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your truck to a dealer to update the vehicle software.

United States records (NHTSA) · 6

These are NHTSA campaigns for 2021 Volvo Vhd vehicles sold in the United States. They are not Canadian recalls: NHTSA's VIN lookup has no Canadian data, and a US campaign may have no Canadian counterpart, or one under a different number covering different vehicles. For a vehicle sold in Canada, go by the Transport Canada listing above and Volvo's Canadian VIN lookup.
