Summary

Issue: On certain trucks, the passenger-side seat belt anchor may not have been secured to the floor properly. As a result, the seat belt could detach in a crash. Safety Risk: A seat belt that detaches could increase the risk of injury in a crash. Corrective Actions: Volvo Trucks will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your truck to a dealership to reinforce the passenger-side seat belt anchor.

Summary

Issue: On certain trucks, poor signal strength could cause the electronic control unit (ECU) to stop working or not to work properly. As a result, some safety systems may not work, including the antilock braking system, automatic traction control, electronic stability control, active cruise control and the collision mitigation system. Note: For the VNR model, this recall affects only the VNRe model. Safety Risks: Vehicle safety systems that don't work correctly could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Volvo will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your truck to a dealership to reprogram the ECU software.

Summary

Corrective Actions: Volvo Trucks will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your truck to a dealer to remove the hubcaps.

Summary

Issue: On certain trucks, the fittings for the air brake lines on the firewall pass-through plate may have been damaged during assembly. As a result, an air line could detach from the fitting. If this happens, the parking brake could apply without warning. Note: The service brakes are not affected by this problem. Safety Risk: A parking brake that applies suddenly while driving could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Volvo Trucks will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your truck to a dealer to inspect the fittings on the pass-through plate. They will be repaired or replaced, as required.

Summary

Issue: On certain trucks, the support plate for the brake pedal could fail. If this happens, the brake pedal could detach and cause a loss of braking. Safety Risk: A loss of brakes can create the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Volvo will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your truck to a dealer to inspect the pedal plate. If a crack is found, the plate will be replaced.

Summary

Volvo Trucks North America (Volvo Trucks) is recalling certain 2019-2026 VAH trucks. The passenger seat belt anchor may fail due to inadequate floor reinforcement. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 210, "Seat Belt Assembly Anchorages."

Potential Consequence

A seat belt anchor that fails will not properly restrain an occupant in a crash, increasing the risk of injury.

Remedy

Dealers will install a new weld nut and washer, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed December 16, 2025. Owners may contact Volvo Trucks' customer service at 1-800-528-6586. Volvo Trucks' number for this recall is RVXX2510. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall will be searchable on NHTSA.gov beginning November 10, 2025.

Volvo Trucks North America (Volvo Trucks) is recalling certain 2020-2025 VN, VAH, VHD and VNRE trucks, equipped with Bendix EC80 Advanced Electronic Control Units (ECU). Electrical noise and low signal to the power line carrier may cause the ECU to incorrectly process commands or stop working.
