Issue: On certain vehicles, the owner's manual incorrectly describes the function of the passenger airbag indicator light. Safety Risk: This error does not affect the safety or function of the airbag. Corrective Actions: This is not a recall. The company has made changes to ensure that all new vehicles have owner manuals that correctly describe the function of the passenger airbag indicator light. The company will also instruct dealers to add an insert to correct owner's manuals for all unsold vehicles.

Issue: On certain vehicles, the fuel delivery module inside the fuel tank may fail. If this happens while driving, there could be a sudden loss of engine power. Note: This problem could cause the check engine and/or the EPC warning light(s) to turn on. Safety Risk: A sudden loss of engine power could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Volkswagen will notify owners by mail and instruct you to bring your vehicle to a dealership to replace the fuel delivery module.

Issue: On a small number of models with 4Motion all-wheel drive, a software problem in the engine control unit (ECU) could cause the engine to stall when coming to a stop. Note: This is an expansion of recall 24HH (Transport Canada Recall 2021-496). Safety Risk: A loss of engine power could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Volkswagen will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealership to update the ECU software.

Summary

Issue: Under certain conditions, the rearview camera image may not appear on the center screen. Canadian regulations require the rearview image to display when the transmission is shifted into reverse gear. Safety Risk: A rearview camera image that does not display could reduce a driver's ability to see behind the vehicle while backing up. This could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Volkswagen will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealership to update the infotainment software.

Issue: On certain vehicles, a quick connector for the fuel line in the engine compartment may not be secure. As a result, the connector could detach and cause a fuel leak. This could cause the engine to stall while driving. Safety Risk: A sudden loss of engine power could increase the risk of a crash. Additionally, a fuel leak can create the risk of a fire. Corrective Action: Volkswagen will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to inspect the fuel line connection. Summary

Volkswagen Group of America, Inc. (Volkswagen) is recalling certain 2021 Golf GTI, Jetta GLI, Jetta NF, Arteon FL, Tiguan LWB, 2022 Taos, Jetta PA, Tiguan PA, 2021-2022 Atlas Cross Sport, and Atlas FL vehicles. The manufacturing process of the eMMC memory module in the infotainment system may cause the rearview camera image not to display. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 111, "Rear Visibility."
