On certain vehicles, a crash protection plate was not installed beside the high pressure fuel pump in the engine compartment. In the event of a severe crash, the high pressure fuel pump could become damaged and cause a fuel leak, which in the presence of an ignition source, could result in a fire causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will install the missing crash protection plate.

Correction: Dealers will replace affected airbag modules. Note: Depending on the vehicle in question, the front passenger, knee, side or curtain airbag modules may be affected.

United States records (NHTSA) · 3

These are NHTSA campaigns for 2017 MINI Cooper vehicles sold in the United States. They are not Canadian recalls: NHTSA's VIN lookup has no Canadian data, and a US campaign may have no Canadian counterpart, or one under a different number covering different vehicles. For a vehicle sold in Canada, go by the Transport Canada listing above and MINI's Canadian VIN lookup.
