Transport Canada · listed for this model year

Certain vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of CMVSS 206 - Door Locks and Door Retention Components. The front and rear passenger-side door latches may have been switched during vehicle assembly. This could result in a passenger front door which cannot be opened by merely pulling on the interior handle and a rear door that can be opened with a simple pull of the interior door handle even if locked. Such a condition could affect the safe exiting of the vehicle in the event of a crash or protection of children from inadvertent opening of the rear door. Correction: Dealers will replace, if necessary, any incorrectly installed door latch assemblies.

United States records (NHTSA) · 1

These are NHTSA campaigns for 2009 Mercedes-Benz S-Class vehicles sold in the United States. They are not Canadian recalls: NHTSA's VIN lookup has no Canadian data, and a US campaign may have no Canadian counterpart, or one under a different number covering different vehicles. For a vehicle sold in Canada, go by the Transport Canada listing above and Mercedes-Benz's Canadian VIN lookup.
